I’ve been a mentor at Google’s Startup Weekend events for the past two years. In this last 2014, the team I coached came first place and earned a place in a startup acceleration program. Its was a very social on and offline project and the key action they took was actually getting out, talking to potential customers, users, etc. and using Facebook ads to hack their way to getting results for the project presentation. I also presented a keynote about the importance of communication in interdisciplinary teams and it’s tools.
Its a personal learning experience for me as the more I help the startup teams with the knowledge and tools, the more they teach me about the reality of the startup world and the aura of complexity that surrounds it.
